Does anyone have any idea how to beat this thing? I need to for a quest, but every time I get its guard broken and do some damage it just heals at the end of the turn for 6,666. Is there some trick to this that I'm missing?

It's not that I'm dying, I just can't do any damage to it that sticks because of the heal.

poison him, and focus to break is guard fast, to have some turns with some character to hit him without is guard.
use agi down to dont miss hits and tec up, and if you have a character that can cause damage close to 1k with is guard up use strengh up to do some damage.

Yeah, I don't know, I mean, I'm doing that but I just can't kill him. He heals too much back up, even when I start to get his health down he eventually just catches up on heals. Is level 15 too low?

if the guard gauge is not empty then it won't recover.... so you have to stop the attack when the gauge near empty if after the character is that boss..... Using Demon Flame can break the guard fast then Spam Cross Combination :3

If it's too hard just come back later. You can also save up your EX skills and spam them to overcome his healing.
