Custom Resolution settings:
Hey guys, very easy to get your own resolution in this game. Simply go to your Neptunia Steam Folder

For instance mine is G:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Neptunia Rebirth1

Open Neptune.ini in Notepad and type in whatever resolution you'd like. This is how I play in 4k.

[GRAPHICS]
FullScreen=1
Width=3840
Height=2160

I hope this works for others. Be sure to set the file to READ-ONLY in the properties.

-----

PS) this is just a stretched 720p image from what I can tell, because my screen shots still come out in 720p =P but this helps my TV recognize it as a 4k image nonetheless.

Does it work for other aspect-ratios (such as 21:9), or does it stretch the image?

It just stretches it, can't get it to fit at my 2560x1080 screen.

Oh ok, thank you...

found a fix... sort of. only way to get it good in fullscreen is to set the resolution of your pc and monitor to 1920x1080.

yea, sorry I couldn't test it with other form factors because my 4K tv is very picky and refuses to let me pick from too many resolution sizes =/

After I did this the game has now no more sound...

Sorry =/ I guess perhaps it won't work for everyone, No idea why it would take out sound O_o perhaps your computer thinks you are now outputting from another device? Try alt-tabbing and right clicking on your volume icon, hitting playback devices, and seeing where the sound is going.

There's a mod for this called Hyperresolution Neptunia made by the big mand Durante himself, it will actually make the game render at the specified resolution rather than stretching it up or down from the static 1920x1080, meaning you can also use it to render at lower resolutions to gain FPS on weak HW. I tried it on my laptop that could barely handle it at 1080p and set the resolution to 960x540 which is pretty much the PS Vita resolution and it was suddenly playable.

Will also work on Re;Birth2 and 3 but you'll have to rename the folders and change the folder name in the .acf files too since the mod is kinda dumb with folder names and the semicolon causes trouble for it IIRC.

For MegaNep VII (not VIIR) there's Megaresolution Neptunia, here: https://github.com/AterialDawn/MegaresolutionNeptunia

Tried this on Re;Birth1, but it did nothing.
