Anime and Continuity with Game(s)?
After picking this up last night I was curious to check out the anime but I don't want to spoil the games story. I'd appreciate any suggestions on what the recommended order is to watch/play them in.

they aren't related, they happen in different Dimensions. So the stories are not the same, while the characters are largely the same.

Some say you can watch the anime first, some say it ruined the game. I don't agree with the latter because the events are so loosely related they don't unfold the same way at all.

The anime is a mix of the first three games basically. But not in any canon fashion.

I watched the anime after the first game but before the second game. I had no issues. I still haven't played the third game, but I seriously doubt the anime has ruined anything the 3rd game will get into.

Thanks for the quick response :) I'll check out an episode and see what I think re: spoilers.

After about 10 or 15 minutes of playing the first game last night I bought the second game lol. The characters are just too cute and their banter can't help but bring a smile to your face. Hoping this developer brings more of their games to steam in the future.

the third game is confirmed (well its not literally the third game but lets just call it that)

Rebirth 3 will be here in the fall.

But since you have played the game a bit, I think you will see the anime is totally different...Frankly I wouldn't worry about spoilers. They are different dimensions and one day you may encounter a similar event or villian. But the solution may be different in different dimensions.

And the anime uses the cast from 3 games, where in the first game its only the main goddesses. The second game is really only the sisters.

so if you watch the anime dont read into it. just let it be its own thing.

I'd say wait to watch the anime until after Re;birth 3 as a major plot point is spoiled. The anime rehashes mk2/Victory's plots. While mk2 isn't spoiled that much, MAJOR stuff for Victory/re;birth 3 is.

so really only watch the anime if you want re;birth 3/victory's plot in a very very mediocre to subpar (like Nintendo's E3 event) fashion.

Now I'm back to not knowing what to do, thanks! lol

Amazing that three games are compressed into only 12 episodes + 1 OVA.

it's 2. Mk2 is the first half, Victory the 2nd with the OVA just making the series end on a somewhat happy note.
