Original Hyperdimension Neptunia or Re:birth??
I just though, that first Neptunia for PS3 was a more simpler, than re:birth, for some reason, well, you know, 2010 year, ps3, "old" console and so on, but after watched few videos about this game (since i don't have a PS3), damn, not sure which one is better now... Original Neptunia surely has a bit poor visuals and 3d, but more complicated systems and menus, like 3d map, or equipment and combos menu, or cut-scenes. Re:birth now looks like a cutted and simplified version of original game, I thought it would be opposite =/

Someone, who played both versions can tell about their experience and the most significant differences?

I think the plot is better on Original Neptunia, everything else is better on the remake.

They remade the original game using the same mechanics, models and dungeons/maps from Neptunia Victory(the third game), so the result is a more beautiful and better game overall.

The plot is very similar, but parts of it were changed to make it more compatible with the series, because the first game was a little darker than the other games, but the original game's plot makes more sense to me.

I don't think the original game was darker but rather the music and general ambientation make it seem more classic jrpg like while the remake tries more to parody the modern jrpg
The original's mechanics where very clunky compared to MK2 which refined them and Victory which replaced them and has become the main mechanics of the franchise.

To me the original plot was a little darker, the relationship between the goddesses was worse, there was more problems to solve between the nations and the goddesses were harder to get friendlier as expected from their past relationship, so I think the plot was a little darker and better when compared with Rebirth's...

Rebirth has alot more content than the original, more recruitable characters too.

To me the series really found its identity with Victory onwards, thus rebirth 1 & 2 being in that same style is only logical.

So, Victory is a Re:birth 3?

Yes, Victory & Rebirth 3 are essentially the same game.

While Neptunia 1 is very diferent from rebirth 1 and Mk2 is somewhat diferent to rebirth 2, Victory and Rebirth 3 arent.

Hyperdimention Neptunia =~ Rebirth 1
Mk2 =~ Rebirth 2
Victory = Rebirth 3

Those are the only remakes, the rest are all independent games. The "last" PS3 game and only one to not be remade or released on PC was Producing Perfection (PP), which is a spinoff game thats essentially an "idol maker" visual novel/manager game with some awesome songs thrown in.

If you have a PS3, getting the original hyperdimention and producing perfection would be my recomendation. Mk2 is way too similar to Rebirth 2 to warrent a repurchase (unless you absolutly LOVE Nisa/Gust, which are the only characters removed from the remakes).

Producing Perfection is for Vita. And why is last in quotation marks?

PP was vita-only? Thought it had a PS3 port... oh well.

Last as in, last Nisa released game, also the last one of the old series, so to speak
