Any chance we’ll see re verse on pc?
The way these games are done is, confusing at best, the current pc version is a port of the vita version, which then got a PS4 port under the name “plus” which featured new content, some of which (cutscenes viewer, overworld party members) was ported as dlc to the the current pc version, but not all of it (plus exclusive party members) but even then that’s not all, as the gog version had some dlc not seen in the steam version (PlayStation magazine stuff, but I believe that’s been pulled now from the gog version) but the gog version never got the plus dlc stuff. The pc version was also slightly censored, removing some underskirt shots.

All this is to say that re verse is the supposed “definitive” edition, with a confirmed western ps5 release. Is there any chance we will see this version? The pc versions are such a mess that a port of that version is needed. Even if the pc version was perfect port of plus, re verse still has a ton of new content, which I hope makes it to pc as it’s own game, rather than more dlc for this game, making the mess even messier.

I want this, but i think it should be given as a upgrade option, original owners should for a small fee be able to upgrade to the new version.

A discount would be nice, but I’m hoping it comes as it’s own game, not more dlc for this one.

It's possible but it will be a hard sell. IFI should give existing owners who own the game and ALL of the DLC a free upgrade to avoid any headaches but we all know Reverse will become a disaster like VIIR or even worse in some cases.

Maybe not a free upgrade, but at least some kind of upgrade path with a heavy discount rather than having to buy the game all over again (say, through a "complete your collection" bundle). Though I have to admit, I have no clear idea whether RV is a remake on a new engine like VIIR or a remaster with bonus features (looks like it, but can't say for sure).

Free upgrade for those who bought the game + all DLC which is fair in my opinion for a game that consists of heavily recycled content anyways. Discount for those who just bought the game and few DLC as I doubt any existing owners would throw down any money for this game AGAIN besides the shills.

It's been reported that game was remade from scratch on the OROCHI 4 And Mizuchi Rendering Engine like VIIR instead of the PhyreEngine.

Well, it might be heavily recycled content, but it is still technically a new product thanks to being a remake and most companies don't just give away their remasters for free (except when they're mostly tweaks) and much less their remakes. Though I agree that few people who already bought the game will want to buy it all over again or shell out the cash for extra content, and especially if they bought all available DLC on the Steam release.

Also, thanks a lot for the explanation.

+1 for Neptunia ReVerse PC.

I bet Re Verse will be available on steam some day. I can't say for certain how long it will be, I've only been following the series since about 2018, but I would assume that it would be a year or so until it is on Steam.

I hope too, but for example we still wait for Disgaea 1 Complete.

I mean, complete was a port of Disgaea 1 pc, to the point where the credits still said " Disgaea pc" before a patch. Unless they update it to now match the mobile version (which i now the best version) were not gonna see it.

Disgaea 1 Complete has got a French translation :-) (and a little graphics upgrade)

It isn't very valid to compare Neptunia to Disgaea. Idea Factory have ported many of their games to PC. For instance, Megadimension Neptunia VII came out on PS4 in the US on Febuary 2016, and it came out on PC in July 2016. Additionally, Azure Lane Crosswave came out in the US for both PC and PS4 in the same month.

And I'd also like to add that we are all still waiting for Half Life 3

On one hand I want this, on the other I don't. The new arrange mode sound promising and a complete, updated version might be nice. I want to play through it all again anyway. That said, I've been disappointed a lot, so I do not have high hopes for the new stuff they add. From the last ifi newsletter it sounded to me like 'arrange mode' means 'we made it even easier mode'. Unless knockback etc also applies to enemies. I was hoping that 'arrange' meant that we could toggle/choose our own difficulty options. I want a more challenging game, not an even less challenging one. Especially since another playtrhough will make me break the 200 hour mark.

My biggest issue with VII was that it was so easy. Though, I had a long list of issues with it, I still love the game. But VIIR made it even worse. instead of fixing bugs and rebalancing things that needed it, they yeeted quite some promising things and remade it to be worse. It was a snooze fest and I gave up at Noire's arc because it got so boring.
It would have made more sense to fix the existing issues (which they hardly ever seem to do, thats a big problem) with bugs and DLC things messing up, broken rush attacks etc and to add VR as DLC. I hear the new construction system was good but I didnt get that far so Idk. That could maybe have been DLC, too.

So I think that for ReReReReReRebirth 1 aka ReVerse it would be preferable to get an upgrade package thats sold as a DLC instead of the full game. That said, if it is indeed a remake on a new engine, then I dont think that will happen. And since I really want a physical limited edition for all Steam version core games (as in the past they only did LE for PS4 versions, sadly, only recently have they started doing it for Steam too), I do kinda want it to be sold as new full game, with LE for Steam. I'd buy.

I think that if we want to see this version on Steam, whatever form it will be in, we should send a ticket to support and suggest a steam port for ReVerse. I did. There seem to be no plans (yet), but they said they'll take the fact that there might be people who want it into consideration.
