Free Camera Mod/Hack?
Its been a while since I played the game last. There used to be a mod/hack in the guids sections that unlocked the camera, which made it easier to zoom out of a dungeon and get a birds eye view to make things a little easier. What happened to it? Is there a new one somewhere?

The author deleted it for some reason. Use Google to find another mod

I did and it just brings me to the Steam Forums asking the same question that goes unanswered.

All I could find was Shinkansen Hyperdimension Neptunia Re Birth1 V1006 which supposedly allows the camera to be modded

Among other cheating things :(. I just wanted the camera. Oh well, i'll have to deal with the vanilla game.

Why would you need a birds eye view for these tiny little dungeons?
Why would you want a free camera when the in game camera works very well to view your surroundings?
Ya I'm on to you...
If you want to look at the girls panties that bad just google search or play one of the sequels where you can tilt the camera and view the goods.

I'm actually being honest. A birds eye view makes things so much easier, the free camera also makes for some good pictures to. If I wanted panty shots I would just use google lol.

One way where more camera movement freedom would actually help gameplay is in placing your attack zone on enemies in combat. I'm currently doing a play-through with the Sisters/Candidates in the squad, and most of them have ranged weapons. For example, Uni's default rifle has an attack box that is six squares in front of her, and I have to stand so far back that it takes a lot more tweaking to get the box on multiple targets than with the characters that are attacking the box right in front of them. Being able to switch to some kind of top down view, or something centered on the attack zone, would make that less annoying.

Sometimes I am trying to fight one of the big enemies, and I have people attacking from opposite sides so that the enemy can't hit everybody at once with the special attacks; but when I try to use an area buff (such as Compa's heal spells) I can't see whether the person on the other side is in the effect range because the enemy is literally blocking the view with their wings or other appendages, and it won't let you pull the camera back far enough to look around the monster's body. A more top-down angle would also help you judge the distance a little better when you are trying to get the symbol attack on enemies while running around on the map.

While I agree with some of what you're saying in general,

This part here is solved by looking at the highlighted character icons in battle. Be it single target buffs, healing, resurrection, or AoEs of that nature, anything targeting allies will have the icon of the target(s) elevate slightly and flash orange so even when you can't see your allies directly (or can't be bothered to move the camera during the times you can see them fine), you'll be able to tell at a glance who will be affected by your skills and reposition appropriately if necessary.
