Controller issue, help! [SOLVED]
So, hey guys.
The thing is, I was always able to play with my generic usb controller no problem, in fact, I'm on my second playthrough, but this is rather weird. You see, I kind of took a break from the game for some months, almost a year, and now the game only detects my Keyboard. I looked everywhere, every post about controller issues and such, but to no avail, no solution, neither a problem similar to mine.

To dump some info:
My controller is a generic "USB network joystic", thing is a PS2-like controller, wired.
Always have it connected before starting the game.
Game detected it before without third-party programs.
Even tried to use x360ce (wich works perfectly fine with vanilla Skyrim+dlc)
Big picture detects my controller.
Tried JoytoKey. Didn't work.
Not just Re:birth1, but Re:birth2 also have the same issue.
Reinstalled the game, nothing.
Weird thing is, my pc detects my controller as mouse+keyboard+joystic, all in one.

I don't know if this have something to do with an update of the game or what, but this is frustrating... I will try some other games, like Fairy Fencer or maybe another Nep one, because maybe is a thing with IF games. Again, with skyrim I have no problem, it works fine, so it's not steam or my controller being damaged.

UPDATE: Tried some more games, all of them work fine with x360ce, only IF games do not detect my controller even with the x360ce.

UPDATE 2 [SOLUTION]: Well the first time I tried it, it didn't work as intended, as far as this shows. So, for the record and for anyone having some issues similar to this you can do the following:

-Go to "Steam->Settings->Controller"
-Choose "Controller general settings"
-There you click on the controller that appears at the end.
-This will lead you to a screen in which you can assing your controller buttons. BUT there's a "catch" (sometimes). Be very carefull, since the screen could be displayed on a weird resolution and may affect your mouse. I had the problem that because of the resolution, my mouse clicked a mile away from where I actually clicked, so yeah, everything got scraped over and over againg. Just recently figured that and managed to click "Save".
-Click on "save" and that should be it.
-After this, some games might require you to go to options and select, manually, the controller, then might be a good idea to verify if the game have the propper keymapping.

NOTE: I speak spanish and my steam is in spanish, so some things might be a little "off", but you get the overall idea, right?

Using mouse and keyboard go into controller settings menu and manually switch back to controller. These games default back to M&K every so often (updates perhaps?).

Already tried that. It's something to do with "port" games in general. The only games I can play with x360ce are Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas, but for some reason the games that are ports of PS-Vita/PSP/PS4 don't work, not even with the x360ce. Not actually tried Dark Souls, don't have it installed, but so far only Bethesda games works.

Unplug the controller, go into the settings using KB/M, plug in the controller, change the settings.

Had the same problem about an hour ago with Steam controller, it was working fine yesterday.

Tried it right now. Didn't do anything.

I have this problem before, I try to use my ps4 controller and it's doesn't recognize it at first
I look around for this problem and I found it
Go to Big Picture mode, Setting, Controller Setting and click the boxes that support your controller

I use DS4Windows to emulate my PS4 controller being a xbox360 controller and that works good, I've also used a wired xbow360 controller without issue.
