Blackheart first battle.... how?
I have one question... how? The first time I tried I though you were supposed to lose, but no youre actually expected to beat her. Ive tried around 6 times now, sometimes even losing to the first boss before her, I set a plan that makes enemies weaker and when I start I always start with max hp and sp. Still can't even get her below 90 percent. Everyone's level 8, should they be higher or what? Im so confused on how the devs expect players to beat win this fight.

Level 8? To put it bluntly, you're heavily underleveled.
Yes, that's a huge difficulty spike we have there, as the Phoenix is pretty easy to beat under level 10, while Black Heart will simply wreck you by sheer power.

Make sure you have the best equipment available and get life rings for everyone; try to hit her back or the sides to deal some bonus damage, I think your hits are also less likely to miss this way. If you see you really can't do it just level up a bit I guess.

I forgot to use the best weapon but on accidentally won by using tons of items in battle

its a jrpg man....the best answer to any difficulty spike is to grind until its not an issue.

Neptune= Attacker (HDD is mandatory while keeping Neptune buffed at all times)
Compa= Healer
IF= Support (Give Neptune STR Boosters and SP Chargers while distracting Black Heart from killing Compa)

Life Rings are a must and you should be able to survive with all the free dlc items (I managed at an even lower level). Plutia + Peashy also make the battle far easier if you bought the DLC.

Ok thanks everyone. I still dont know how I became so underleveled I fought every enemy I found specifically to avoid being underleveled

You didn't suddenly become underleveled, it's the game that suddenly had a difficulty spike at that point... like in most JRPGs (and the Neptunia series likes to make fun of JRPG tropes).
This is not only about this boss, but about every others in thegame. Don't be hurry to pass storyline, pushing yourself so fast ahead will give you a lot of headache. Go further when you see that everyone arround are getting too weak for you.

How the hell do you have Life Rings on everyone? I have 2800 after grinding for hours, and one ring cost 5k. I'm at level 10 and the first trash mob in the Factory is killing me.

By selling the Anti items you have in your inventory from the free DLC you get from starting a new file.

i was at level 12 when i beat her, it was a devastated one for sure since peashy (dlc) was the only one alive, i honestly feel the boss battle is way harder than shadow queen from paper mario ttyd and elder princess shroob from mario and luigi partner in time

Funny, exactly two years later I'm also struggling with this fight and also thought it was a scripted defeat (been some time since i last played the game). But the sad thing is that i guess that i lost to her with level 15 or so i think ? Gonna try again tomorrow, Nep is level 20, Compa level 18 and IF is also level 18. Oh, i also turned the 'weaken enemies' plan on now. I really hope i will succeed this time.

With life rings, upgraded armbands and level 12-or-so characters, the fight really should not cause any big problems even if you have all DLCs disabled. That state can easily be reached by just doing a few of the guild quests for half an hour or so.

Black Heart herself has no "cleave"-type attacks, and the AoE attack that she uses below 50% hits all melee chars in a 360* angle anyway, so your priority is to position your melee characters in a way that they're close together so you can reliably use area heals. That means you put both of your melee chars next to each other, while Compa stays behind them, close enough to heal, but out of range of the boss.

Her AoE-heal is SP-inefficient if used on two wounded characters compared to the normal heal, but it still heals twice the amount a normal heal does for each turn that Compa has, so it is very "time"-efficient. Given that the boss is rather dps-intense, the AoE heal should be preferred when two characters are wounded unless you're sure you have the time to heal them both up at the same time.

...which you should be able to do reliably before you push her below half health, but after that you might be unlucky enough to have the boss spam its AoE. Some healing items do help immensely, but they also draw out the fight, which is why imho you should always AoE heal with Compa during that phase if both melee characters are wounded. That allows the melee chars to do more damage during that phase, which reduces the total amount of damage you take (because what's dead does not hurt you).

To be able to do that, make sure Compa has enough SP to heal the boss's damage until the end of the fight before you get her below 50% so you don't have to sacrifice turns that could be used for damage / healing on items. Using SP-items on Compa while the boss is above 50% health is much more efficient than having to use items while she's below 50%.

Get the life ring.

Get the life ring.

Uuuuh... oh, yeah, GET THE LIFE RING.

Also don't be Level 8. Be, like, twice as much.

It's not like they changed the game since then :-) I did level up a bit before the fight, got the normal boss, thought "oh, it's just the boss", smashed it with SP... and then got to Noire. Even got her down to nothing, then she suddenly launches an "kill everyone on screen" attack...

So yeah, other than levelling a bit more, probably getting life rings and keeping Plutia's SP for heals, I was just going to check if I missed something about this... and ended up here.

Maybe I'll be building some dungeon plans. I kind of ignored plans so far, as I haven't really looked into the MB situation yet, to figure out which plans to build, and which ones to ignore...

There's weaken enemies, of course. That's much higher on the priority list than outfits... I just don't know whether Noire accepts it, if I show her my "weaken enemies" badge.

Yeah, that's the plan right now. 3 party members on the field, 3 life rings.

16? that definitely sounds like dungeon plans :-( I'm like, 12 now -- and no metal dogoo in sight. Planning to try the ancient dragon, though, just to see what to expect from him...
