Some people enjoy it a great deal and keep coming back, others get bored after 5 minutes. It's just not the kind of game that you can measure in hours, as you would an RPG or something like that.
Pretty good for 20 quid pre release. With everyone planning on coming back for updates.
Worth noting only 1 of them had fully prestige'd any of their characters so in terms of just 100%ing the content that's there now, you could squeeze out a fair few hours.
Is also interesting how review scores change when you filter average play time for at least an hr or more. Though always makes sense, if you enjoy something you'll play it for longer.
Very true.
It's got a repetitive loop but multiple maps, enemy factions, weapons, customization, different classes to choose, etc. I love these types of games and they usually have good replay value for me - other's can't stand them. I'll easily get over 60 hours.
is anyone going to sit and play this game for hours every day for months like folks do with COD and stuff?... no.
if you play it in bursts itll last quite a while i think.
^this is the perfect response.
I did a block of 40 hours, within that block, I stayed up 24 hours straight playing.
I had to take a week off from playing, because I burned myself out.
I came back and put in another 40+ hours. I'm trying to figure out some harder quests. I started trying to solo maps that I have no idea how to do, as far as quests go.
I only have the character called "Old Man" prestiged to level 18/25. There are 4 other characters that I have not really played ( I tried Scav Girl once - she runs very fast ).
I'm looking forward to trying out the sub-machine guns ( which are character specific ).
The water im not even gonna get into much and I honestly do feel both sides even though I tend to lean on the side that its a non issues knowing that the amount Ive also played makes it a non issue. And the people that make point against the mechanic I may get annoyed with but in the end I do respect the opinion. Fun Dogs have said this is a on going mechanic that will change. I hope this helps good fun and <3
Edit: Also cant wait to use the m16 with handguard H or the M203. This unlocks at level 30 with the weapon. Hopefully this gets added. would be such fun to actually bloop with the m16.
Its a gradual start and as above, you can then become a hunter in game.
If your looking for a run and gun style at the beginning of the game, thats pretty hard with this one.
When you start you are not that guy.
