How long is this game?
Just as the title says, how many hours of gameplay can I expect from this game in its current status? Thanks

You will find that that's an extremely difficult question to answer. It all comes down to how long you enjoy the (currently limited) gameplay loop of get in, find stuff/complete missions, get out.

Some people enjoy it a great deal and keep coming back, others get bored after 5 minutes. It's just not the kind of game that you can measure in hours, as you would an RPG or something like that.
It completely depends on how you play, if you need to be spoon fed quests / missions then I don't know but for the £23 or whatever I paid I've had 100's of hours out of it and each jaunt is often still a nail biting experience with the am I going to die or not thrill :waifu:

Average seems around 40-50 hrs where people slow down, some getting much more some much less. Friends list is roughly 30-50-60 hrs before they played other things.

Pretty good for 20 quid pre release. With everyone planning on coming back for updates.
Worth noting only 1 of them had fully prestige'd any of their characters so in terms of just 100%ing the content that's there now, you could squeeze out a fair few hours.

This is true, although I did try.
Is also interesting how review scores change when you filter average play time for at least an hr or more. Though always makes sense, if you enjoy something you'll play it for longer.

Very true.

It's got a repetitive loop but multiple maps, enemy factions, weapons, customization, different classes to choose, etc. I love these types of games and they usually have good replay value for me - other's can't stand them. I'll easily get over 60 hours.

i dont really play the vidjea games like i used to, so for sporadic playing (an hour or two at a time) i could see this game getting over 100 hours from me in the long run.

is anyone going to sit and play this game for hours every day for months like folks do with COD and stuff?... no.

if you play it in bursts itll last quite a while i think.

It depends on whether you like the game, and whether you play as a group of friends, or solo.

I did a block of 40 hours, within that block, I stayed up 24 hours straight playing.

I had to take a week off from playing, because I burned myself out.

I came back and put in another 40+ hours. I'm trying to figure out some harder quests. I started trying to solo maps that I have no idea how to do, as far as quests go.

I only have the character called "Old Man" prestiged to level 18/25. There are 4 other characters that I have not really played ( I tried Scav Girl once - she runs very fast ).

I'm looking forward to trying out the sub-machine guns ( which are character specific ).

It will depend on how much you enjoy the game. Its is hard at first but once you get the feel and understand the mechanics imo when the tables turn and you can become a hunter is when the game gets fun. Sure some target you can not take down yet you must avoid. Im at about 180 hrs and at prestige 24 should hit 25 very soon with Shaman makes it obvious I enjoy the game so far. I cant wait to see what it can become also. Tbh I find COD weak as fudge you can see my profile and yea im not normal at all. Also many games dont show the true hours ive actually played. Dont let other people even me affect your opinion jump in and see what you feel. I enjoy the hard parts of the game and also enjoy modding the weapons and some can be leveled opening other mods. I enjoy the different feel of every character you can play although yea some tweaks should be made absolutely. Perhaps its how I got kicked around for the first couple days then to figure stuff out and then become the hunter often leaving mission with 50-60 kills and a full rig of loot that makes it so fun.
The water im not even gonna get into much and I honestly do feel both sides even though I tend to lean on the side that its a non issues knowing that the amount Ive also played makes it a non issue. And the people that make point against the mechanic I may get annoyed with but in the end I do respect the opinion. Fun Dogs have said this is a on going mechanic that will change. I hope this helps good fun and <3
Edit: Also cant wait to use the m16 with handguard H or the M203. This unlocks at level 30 with the weapon. Hopefully this gets added. would be such fun to actually bloop with the m16.

I will hit 75 hours tonight, I enjoy the war going on around me and look for ways to gain the most loot for the least alert.

Its a gradual start and as above, you can then become a hunter in game.

If your looking for a run and gun style at the beginning of the game, thats pretty hard with this one.

When you start you are not that guy.
