There was some quest text: the one where you kill 15 soldiers - where the NPC refers to the player (disparagingly) as a "non-aug" Does that change for the Bagman?
(high-priority bug reports here but wth)
Well I just found out that he got a right arm that had that cyborg aesthetic and tattoo , cyborg arms are made with durable metal and the tattoo seems well made. Yes that is possible that he only lost his right arm and got it replaced.
The old man I think he got his left hand replaced with a cybernetic. for the rest, I don't know.
Well wished we can start off as a full meat then have to visit a certain 'chop shop doctor' oh maybe the 'secret' Eruskan cyberdoc or Eurasian Cyberdoc and get our body slowly turned into one ?
That is one possibility.
I only see 2 people the old man and the bag man. the rest I can't tell for sure.
I haven't done that quest yet, is it repeatable ? I will keep an eye out and take a good look at the text when the quest is finished.
If you like this idea, you should read "Murderbot" by Martha Wells. It isn't the war torn setting of Forever Winter, but it is all first person from the point of view of a sec-unit (security robot with meat brain parts). Lots of snark.
I imagine that the augments that the player characters have are considered very primitive by the Eurasians and Euruskians, especially when you look at their augmented soldiers or heavier duty units. They're all either sleek or heavily armoured and their augments look very much like a part of them, compared to the very obvious non-organic pieces that Scav Girl and Old Man have. The dialogue doesn't change when playing as Bag Man but out of all the player characters he definitely has the highest quality augments for sure.
(If you play bagman, insta kick !!!)
That would be a good game mechanic
being augmented by a faction increases their tolerance... but if they are struggling in the battle they might e-conscript you, causing you to temporarily lose control of the character while he grabs the nearest buhanka van/golf buggy/bicycle and runs at the enemy
