That game has some life on it's own with some faction fighting that happens around you.
You can check it as it can be downloaded for free as open source.
Another game that it reminds from a different perspective is A War of Mine which is about 2D game civilians scavenging for life and base-building in a war zone.
I think you meant "This War of Mine". But yeah I'd agree that looks similar at least from a player character perspective.
Personally the only issue I had with that game is the fact that you can't loot everything, no matter what you do you're stuck with the arbitrary 1x scrap of wood, cloth, etc. type of survival game play. Other than that, the rest of the game was great.

But to anyone new to Stalker I recommend Shadow of Chernobyl as your first vanilla game play experience before modding. Cause Anomaly adds so much content is beautiful and appreciate it more after playing the vanilla Stalker experience.
