aggro range/intensity change for 0.4?
Am I crazy or is the aggro range/radius and intensity (speed of awareness filling) greatly increased?

I've played quite a bit with certain characters on Scorched (easy money/water farm, short map etc), and it's gotten much more dicey in terms of near-instant aggro at times.

I'm not talking about the "warning shots" enemies sometimes lob your way when they aren't really interested or aware.

I mean the chopper for example filled its awareness bar in about 1/3 or less of the usual time and just went nuts on me instead of continuing fire at the mech(s) it was engaging, the moment I got within line of sight of its tail rotor.

Ground troops have gotten a lot more quick to go full aggro and get trigger happy, as well. I died twice in a row on my main character to regular armored ruskies with a strong loadout on a map I'm intimately familiar with, the minute I came back to the game on 0.4.

Dying is fine, stuff happens, the game being more aggressive is fine, it's actually been refreshing/fun due to the increased intensity in a lot of situations. But holy moley the choppers really need to dial it back, if we're gonna do this across the board. They were already too much at times, but avoidable. Now if you're playing Bagman on Scorched, you better hope you don't see a chopper. xD I might start running with Shaman or somebody else for Scorched, but I can scoop up so much loot with Bagman with the Rack. :x

Yeah I like the idea of nuking them before they see it coming. xD

My issue has mostly been, they glance my way and then they're like "HOLD FIRE; STOP EVERYTHING AND KILL THAT MAN!!!" xD It's wild.
