Enemy Detection? WTF Are We Doing?
What is going on with enemy detection? I have 90 hours in this game, and after much suffering in the beginning, I was very comfortably scavenging and killing for weeks before taking a break. My water was full, and I was surviving almost every raid.

I come back to the game to find even more ridiculous enemy detection? Every enemy or group of enemies detects me immediately, regardless of stealth, and shoots me dead in seconds? And I STILL can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hear half the enemies around me? What are we doing?

EDIT: I just got detected by a dog halfway across the map, through several structures, which then tele-ported to me and instantly killed me. I'm starting to hate this game and wish for its failure more than its success.

Yeah,, initially you'd affirm to yourself that 'I must just git gud' but really, and after endlessly losing expensive weapons / equipment,, this just ain't a git gud thing (or fun / good) this AI hypervigilence / aggression is just ridiculous and gtfoh with this rip-off :CunningPepeRed:

I wouldn't mind an aggressive AI but not like this (cheating AI). Seeing and being detected through walls, even when I'm stationary and behind a concrete bunker wall or two levels above their heads, not great. I feel like I have a spherical aura around me screaming "I'm here". Different characters, different levels, same thing over and over.

No no of course aggressive AI is cool just as long as what gets them to that point is fair, and but as you point out there is currently no hiding from them, stealth and hiding is irrelevant everything can see you everywhere, and even that wouldn't be so bad if this damn muzzle flash (and gun lights) didn't totally blind you (and no, f*ck having to micromanage my view from ADS to escape it and see anything) :steamhappy:

Like someone said on here. 1 step forward and 2 steps back with these stupid devs. The ai had issues, but the detection is now plain broken.

They should literally hire someone to read feedback 24/7 and adjust accordingly. I get it they want to make the game they envisioned, but that dream will be very short lived if $$$ dries up.

Didnt they get a grant? Money probably wont dry up. That's why there's incompetence.

Problem I think is they are getting feedback from a small group of hardcore players on Discord that get off on having the game being broken.

I think it's a new bug. Just played my first round after this latest 2 hotfixes and enemies were detecting me through walls when I was crouched and not moving.

Just checking comments to see if this was a thing, saw specualtion about the tac cam and loot , but im new to the game and had no loot and the tac cam wasnt equipped and 2 floors up crouched unmoving it was like ringing a dinner bell they could see me through multiple floors and walls. Broken af atm.

It is a bug, there is a noise detection, but it seems to always be active even while crouched and not moving. Enemies can detect it even if they are really far above or below you. Aside from the infinite height, enemies have to be within 12 metres for Gunhead and 6 for everyone else to detect this glitched always on noise. This also ignores walls and stuff.

Additionally there is a new delayed/queue system for aggro that the video goes into detail about.

Devs clearly don't test their own updates. I guess that's our job.

Its definitely a bug. A squad of 12 troops shouldn't detect me 200m away while i'm crouched. I think its an invisible boundry line. The same kind that will spawn in enemies. Kinda lame and hope it gets rectified soon.
