How do I scrap guns?
I have picked up a bunch of destroyed guns but cant seem to find a way to break them down for parts. Is there a way to do this so I can build working guns? I noticed I can find basic standard parts out in the field so I assume there has to be some way to put them together or at least a plan for it.

You can only sell destroyed weapons to Vendors, you select the weapon you'd like to customise in the loadout area and add the purchased / looted parts there, save the pre-set and equip :GardenLove:

Well that sucks. I hope they add an option to break them down so you can assemble new ones from parts. Kind of figured that would be a thing considering you can find base model parts in the field and there's no reason for that otherwise.
Maybe in the longer term it'll allow the breaking down of weapons in to their working component parts. Parts (for your go to weapon) are sometimes worth picking up (but they're otherwise quite cheap / zero value), and there's some that you can only loot in the field like the AK / RPD 100 round drum mag :waifu:

As I said that's the only reason I can think of you can loot default parts is so you can put together full guns to sell.

They're not worth it, except for a select few none of the weapons are big earners really but if you wanna play as / make a bit of scratch as a scav gunsmith cool why not, it's something to do I suppose. There was a weapon crafting thing (since removed) and maybe it'll be reworked to better facilitate such entrepreneurial spirit in players :waifu:
