100+ Hours gone
Just died in Elephant Mausoleum after getting stunlocked in front of the medbay doors. Came back to this message with everything in my base completely wiped.

To me this just seems like another big reason not to have in game consequences tied to a real world timer. It just keeps causing problems and will never provide any benefits.

Except this is just a bug, and what this guy experienced had nothing to do with the game having something tied to a real-world timer. If you read his original post, it said he had months of water stored. He just died in a mission and when he got back his progress was reset. It wasn't like he let his water run out. Again, what happened here is due to a bug.

Had well over a years of water in reserve and the main tank was over 95 days. Everything gone except what was inside the vault. The mission before I died it said I got a water delivery, next mission I die and come back to this crap with everything gone. I then exited to the main menu and came back to fight 3 hobo thieves and guess what I couldn't even pick up their guns because all my gunrunning rigs were gone too. I believe the water bot upgrade had something to do with this as I've never experienced this before and I've died hundreds of missions before in my 100+ hour game time. Everyone be warned.

Gotta be a bug with the water theives maybe? Idk I don't want to purchase the water bot upgrades cause water is already too easy get and didn't want to risk a chance of a crash during a thief raid and lose everything simply cause the game crashed.

Could report it on the official discord.

The thing is I was in a mission when it happened. I was playing normal and then got in a 3-way stunlock and died. Upon returning to the innards EVERYTHING was gone with that first picture of critical water level. I then returned to the main menu hoping it would fix it and instead had a raid which I successfully defended but the base was still empty from before. It's all fine I said ♥♥♥♥ it and just modded back in all the water and cash to get the base back. What really hurts is the literal tens of thousands of 5.56 and 7.62 I've been stockpiling since day one as well as all the unique and rare weapons.

This was a water wipe that triggered from a in-mission death.

I'm just guessing, but what's stopping some guy with cheats from deleting your entire water supply?

It's apparently a bug and I am not the only one to experience this. The raid triggers while you are in mission without you realizing, then if you die in the mission it counts as you losing a water raid.

Lame ass bug. That sucks bad. My condolences. After 100 hours though you got to have multiple prestige 50 characters, right? It's not the end of the world but yeah that sucks. You weren't using any of that stuff anyway :-P, lolol! (JK!)

There could be an update that destroys everyone's saves tomorrow. It's still pre-alpha. I Wouldn't get too attached to anything in-game. The entire game could be completely different 2 years from now.

I think one or two 25 prestiege is possible, which according to wiki, is the maximum prestiege that gives any sort of benefits, like increased health or movement speed. Also according to wiki, the running speed isn't affected by prestiege, even if it has to be.

Wow that's terrible. Sorry that happened to you. At least now I feel better about deciding not to mess with the water bots, even after investing into turrets.

Let me know if you'd like a hand getting started again. I'd be happy to donate grenade launchers or do some runs with you.
