How to unlock larger magazines for SCAR

The vendor says that my weapon XP is to low to purchase the larger magazines. Do I just need to keep grinding xp with it? If so, can anyone say what level exactly I get the two larger magazines, or is there something else I need to do?

level the weapon by using it or finding 1 on 1 of your kills but they drop only on people using the gun so farm the mech trenches

8 rounds, 20 rounds and 50 rounds in that order idk the level's required though because i found like 30 of the drums to care to level it xD

for the SCAR, at least felt the different parts drop like candy. It's a kinda commonly used weapon, so just play a while and you will find some bigger mags.
I got a similar issue right now with the SVD where I want to get the necessary upgrade parts for mounting a scope. The SVD just doesn't get used much (if even at all), so I have to grind up to lvl 9 according to the forums, in order to get hands on the necessary parts.

I saw the lvl 9 thing for the SVD on a forum somewhere. I'm level 10 on the scar and still can't even buy the "Scar Magazine B" (The "middle" magazine and what I believe to be the 20 rounder). If and when I get up to the correct level I will try to remember to post it back in this thread.

Scar: level 18 for 20 round mag, and level 20 for the 50 round mag.

Yeah keep using the gun.

Although extended mags for SCAR aren't that uncommon, you can find it pretty often on bodies and in weapon parts containers

It doesn't necessarily have to be a weapon grind. Those magazines can be dropped/found as loot.

As another hint, maybe turn off the "hide incompatible parts" flag and then check again. Just had the issue for the SVD, where I was desperately waiting for a new rail with a scope.
