You can store 55 water base, and more with upgrades.
Water is easy to find, and quests reward it; I have about 10 hours played and like 28 days of water already (And i havent even been grabbing every water I've found.) You could easily play for a couple of hours and have enough water for atleast a week; if not more.
Most complainers fall into one of two groups:
Group A: Hasn't played the game and doesn't own it, has no idea how water actually works; is basing their opinion off of wild rumors and other complainers.
Group B: Owns the game, plays the game, understands water is easy to get; is upset based on "the principle" of the thing. Ie. "I know it doesn't actually matter but it shouldn't be this way."
The defenders of this abysmal system keep repeating the same BS day in and day out.
I'd suggest you take a look around at the opposite side first, because these waterheads consistently lie about those against the system being in place and rush to defend it for some asinine reason.
I myself have explained why this system is bad like 2 dozen times and am quite sick of repeating myself. So hopefully you do your due diligence and look around. Or someone with a few brain cells drops in to explain it.
The TL;DR of it is, for a studio professing to hate FOMO "modern game industry" practices, they then add a feature that's essentially FOMO-lite and think that's okay.
Doesn't matter how easy or difficult it is, difficulty was never the main concern.
Good luck to you.
how is that fun that after taking a break I have to just launch the game every now and then and find water so I can continue my normal life?
If the water is so easy to find what is the point of finding it? It would be better if water was harder to find but is not consumed when offline.

Water.
Is.
Not.
A.
Problem.
To all the people who continue to cry about it... stop it... literally playing the game normally has banked me over 2 months of time off the game and while I continue to play it I will continue to get more water. Eventually at the rate i'm going in about 30 hours of play I will have over 1 year of total water banked.
The only 'complaint' I understand is 'If it's so easy why have it in the game'. Just kind of feels like the copped out a little bit on the water. Frankly I don't mind the system overall it's just not actually a hinderance or threat.

It's textbook at this point.
