Red Baron bugged?

Can't seem complete the quest. Killed the damn thing 3 times and no sight of a banner anywhere. Am I missing something?

Supposedly, one of the Mech Cache's that spawn from his corpse can have the banner in it, but I'm in the same boat and even using the Tac Cam to try and find those boxes that scatter on the ground whenever you kill an Exosuit, I have yet to have looted the Banner. (I've killed him like 6 times, looted crates, 0 banners)

So I just don't do that quest, I do the Rescue the Pilot quest, The kill the Pilot Quest and the Hunt the HK's quest.

for your info you can directly loot the mech wreckage itself, there is a loot icon marked as "turret" that appear when you get very close. You'll have to catch fire to loot its inventory though. It probably despawn after some time, unlike the burning wreckage

I can't be sure, as I did not fight the red baron yet, but the banner might be in this specific container

Yep, the Banner is supposed to drop via the Crates though, not the wreckage itself. Have yet to find the Banner on the wreck, supposedly is in one of the crates, but have yet to find it in the crates either.

Related, but is anyone getting pilot drops from Exo kills for Bring Her Home anymore? They'd drop from every Exo whether I killed it myself or the AI did previously, but I haven't seen one in days now.

Very rarely I kill an exo and she doesn't drop her pilot

Killed the baron some 20+ times and he never drops the banner. Its a bugged quest.

I've killed the red baron alot and unfortunately I found it then died on my 5th kill live through all the other exounter

The quest needs modification. I have killed the baron many times and cannot find the banner.

I watched killpo1 kill the red baron 10 times on his YouTube stream. One time he drew it to the nearby trench and found the banner in one of the crates. His theory is that the appropriate crate will sometimes clip into the ground but if you can bring it into the more enclosed area of the trench it doesn’t have a chance to do that.

But yeah. Bugged for sure.

I have not found the banner personally, although I’ve tried.
