Manual "Save" allowed?

This game really has got my attention - looks great!

I vaguely recall reading some reviews about saving being controlled by the game and automatically done like at certain save points? (Not my favorite game mechanic).

My question: Does the game allow for manual saves, or is "saving" automatically controlled?

I don't know of any extraction shooters that allow for manual saving, as it's rather antithetical to their gameplay loop,

The game saves when you return to the hub area after exploring any given map.

this is the dumbest question all day and i can tell you lost brain cells just asking this xD if they allowed manual saving then it'd kill the gameplay loop my guy lmfao
