So everything you can drop can vanish when interacted with.

SO i was playing on that elephant map and got ambushed and died, nothing to worry, ill just get my stuff back (rig, weapons, etc) back as I always have and continue, but nope, it just vanished out of thin air when interacted with. I think I'ma just let the water run out for this one. Hopefully after a couple months most of the game breaking bugs are fixed and missing/required features are added. Like they got potential but currently the only amazing thing this game has right now is atmosphere.

(opinion on water feature, it's useless when you realize how easy it is to grind water, like we already have players with enough water to last half a year)

Only things you receive back from getting your corpse are your weapons(if not surplus) and rig(upgrades), when you extract.... It basically tells you this when you press E at corpse.

You never get the loot only the weapons and rig parts you use on your "Death" Run. You're a Walking Loot Chest for the enemies so they will loot your ammo and stuff off of your corpse. if they want to add more realism to it you shouldn't be able to get your stuff back at all apart from your rig but that wouldn't be fair to the player.

Yeah I know that but that never happened, my rig, my weapons, anything that would've stayed wasn't given back.

I literally got NOTHING back. it was basically a ghost interaction

You hit E you pick up your items from last run where you died. And when you extract with items you looted , you can see them in loot window but only if you extract if you die again its all lost.
You can get back only weapons you had on you and RIG upgrades if you had any , nothing more.
Not sure what you expected to get back.... in this game if you die you lost all exp that run and all stuff you had in inventory.

I did extract. Still got nothing back.

Going to be another addition to the numerous bugs in this game, because this game is way deep in early access. I did check stash and still nothing. It killed any motivation to play or keep playing in the future knowing that there is a bug that could make you lose everything despite doing the right things to get it back as intended.

I had a m16, a glock, and a rig I got from a mission where I can grab more guns. It's sad but hopefully after the water runs out it'll reset everything and I can play from scratch, or is there a way I can manually restart everything from the beginning as I would love to not wait 7 days

You CANT lose rig !
You can only lose UPGRADES for it if you had any but you had nothing.
Glock is worthless crap dont use it....
M16 is crap if you dont get it do lvl 30+ and even then its crap atm ....

My new rig i got from a mission is actually gone, no idea how or why but I'm back to the starter rig. I don't want to play a save file that is bugged so I'd rather quit until the water runs out or I'll just manually delete the save from the files.
