The premise is the world you have to slog through, and movement being sluggish just feeds into that general worry that you have during missions that also reinforce the need to stay alert and be VERY careful of what fights you take
The Gunplay is alright and the way its implemented reinforces the point the game is built upon, because unless you get access to the higher end of weaponry there's just a good chunk of enemies out of your reach and a lot of others that die hard
Sure, its about as finished as a freshly released alpha normally is and it has some technical issues, but it has its theme damn well on path and its visuals are great for the kind of world its wanting to portray
Some people like things you don't like, and vice versa.
You call it "unplayable", I strongly disagree. I have played it, am playing it, and I'm enjoying the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. The level designs are jaw dropping, certain weapons are a blast and it has a great foundation to continue building.
It's ok for others to like things you don't.
no sense in gathering actual opinions on the forums, most people are blinded by early access promises that early buyers get burned by time and time again. the premise is cool (albeit doesn't make too much sense, you can't be a scav rat forever if the game offers progression, you'll be "that guy" eventually...) and hopefully the devs see it through. however, i wouldn't hold out hope, because even if the devs pull it off it will take YEARS from what the game currently is now.
People understand that it's not only an EA title but a very early one, and they're rating it accordingly - exactly as they should. It has a solid foundation with tons of promise, and the devs are both active and responsive.
I am surprised that it made such a big jump from its initial Mixed reaction. As much as I like the art direction, I feel there's a higher-than-usual amount of goodwill among the playerbase. I've seen "better" games rated worse.
Legitimate actual skill issue. lmao
Many probably like being weak and having to play stealthy through unusual landscapes with enemies that can pop out from behind something at any time. You have to stategize and be aware as you work your way through maps with the possibility of anything being around every corner.
Younger gamers wanting instant gratification probably wouldn't like this game, but older gamers that like sneaking around and planning their moves probably would.
