The Forever Winter

SVD Rifle Parts ( Lvl.4)
I'm not sure if I'm missing something. But, is anyone else having an issue with bought gun parts not being available after purchase for the SVD Rifle? The main example I have is the replacement top assembly for it. I want to equip a scope, however the bought assembly doesn't show up in customization along with other bought parts that are missing. Has anyone found a workaround? I wanted to main this rifle.

You may not have enough levels in the SVD to equip the component that lets you fit a scope. Took me a few levels.

You need level 9 to get the scope for SVD (or get lucky and find the assembly that has it off a enemy)

The gun level only blocks when you can purchase the parts, you can equip any parts that you have found and are compatible with SVD.

The svd scope upper unlocks at around WEAPON level 7-8-9. I don't remember exactly. Critical hits are the fastest way. Go to starter map and start popping heads with the svd open sighed. Personally, I'm hoping for a 2x-3x or reflex sight upper. I'd prefer a dmr vs sniper.

My SVD is 11lvl and I still can't attach anything to it, not even scope. And I have TONES of attachments

Change the assembly, certain assembly's give you a scope attachment slot.

Are there certain euruskan enemies that I have to kill in order to get a assembly?

Lvl 9 unlocks 'SVD Upper Assembly B' which has an attached scope on it.

Honestly, the R11 is a much better firearm than the SVD. It uses the .308 which is just very slightly worse than 7.62mmx54R. Both are DMRs, but the R11 allows you to attach scopes, suppressors, and attachments from level 0, whereas you have to get the SVD up to level 9 just to unlock the upper assembly to put a scope on. Unless you're hardcore into Russian weapons or you're trying to level up all the guns there's no reason to use the SVD over the R11.

More damage per shot, no?

I don't know the exact damage numbers but it's shooting someone in the head with a .357 compared to a .44. Both guns are going to one-shot headshot on normal enemies. .308 can also be referred to as 7.62mmx51. It is a very, very slightly smaller round. It's like comparing an apple to another apple that is 99% of the size of the first apple. 54R travels slightly faster (we're talking 25-30 faster fps). Other than speed and size the rounds are nearly identical.

This ^^ is your answer and should be marked. In addition, you should have a look at the "hide incompatible" buttom on the left of the vendor window and oyu shjould also read the description of the items closely ;-)

which vendor? Never mind found it on Aramaki. MAKE SURE HIDE INCOMPATIBLE ISN'T SELECTED. I leveled my SVD to 15 before figuring this out.

Does the integrated silencer for the SVD work I have not tried it and just use one of the other ones because I heard it does not.

None of the integrated silencers work correctly as far as I can tell.
