Immersion, Animations, Theme.
Early Impressions, Feedback focusing on world building and immersion.
1. Weapons. The arsenal in this game seems out of place, I understand it is a war torn apocalyptic setting in the future, with mechs yet the weapons are very modern. I think if you futurized the weapons look only, it would help keep with the idea that you are in the setting.

2. Animations. I've watched videos and everyone seems to have the same opinion that it "feels" janky, I believe the problem stems from 2 things, the game wants you to feel "weight" and some of the animations are arcadey. I think if this game went more into the direction of "The Last of Us" people would feel much better about these implementations. It seems that the "sprint" function works alot like Gears of War's "roadie run" so I have no doubt that they are at least borrowing a few ideas from other games, which is fine, and I love the idea, so let's take the best from each franchise that did it best. MGS4 for stealth actions, stealth animations, and stealth interactions, The Last of Us for movement, stealth kills, and climbing animations.

3. Character Models. The thing I like most about this game is the UI and the setting, the maps certainly fit that war torn dystopian endless war kind of like how MGS Guns of the Patriots, I think it would benefit greatly if they kind of tailored the character models in the future to fit this. I understand that you are a scavenger, but being the size of a fridge, while running around in an area that has military trained and veteran soldiers, you'd be pretty easy to spot, and since your character has spent a lot of time running and hiding, I don't think they'd be so bulky.

4. Combat, while I understand combat should be used as a last resort or at least shouldn't be your first option, I'm sure everyone would agree that the combat is probably the worst part about this game. It comes off as if the developers don't really know what directions they want to go in for combat, and what's worse, the handmodels, attachments, recoil, and damage kind of don't mix very well. I think if it just focused on 3rd person combat, except for marksman or sniper rifles, it'd feel and play better, switching to first person just doesn't seem to feel very good, and it honestly makes the game look very ugly.

These are my very early impressions and feedback, I really love the idea of this game and I want to see it succeed, I hope people can understand where I'm coming from, I think this game is meant to be more about presentation than action combat gameplay, in some situations I know that is a must, and I understand other things should take priority over my feedback such as stability, AI, playing with friends.
