Protip: The LOWER your stablity the GREATER the recoil reduction.
So among the many janky things with this game, weapon stats are also a bit crazy.

Part of me things the stats we see don't even properly represent how much potential damage each gun does (armor piercing, base damage, etc.)

But one thing I GUARANTEE is that you actually want to REDUCE your stability to INCREASE you recoil reduction. I know the game tells you otherwise and gives you big mean red letters, but it is lying to you, lower stability = greater recoil reduction.

If you don't believe me you can easily test this and prove it to yourself.

For the love of God ... Will definitively test that. Thx

Modified: Ok I tested and you're right. My low brain saw a red number and thought BAD.

Hey mine too, it wasn't till I finally bit the bullet and tried it out that I noticed this was the case.

Great find man, thanks for sharing - would never have known.

Mind blown, thanks. A lot of the weapon customization seems janky and place holding. I hope they add descriptions to more of the attachments soon. a lot of them don't even say if they do anything.

Super counter intuitive, but makes sense now. Otherwise most of the pieces you equip make the gun less stable. They should unify what the numbers mean.

If I can make a recommendation, don't sell ANY mods or ANY parts.

I think I get why ( don't spoil it ) but honestly I prefer stock standard stuff MOST of the time in games. Pulled the dust cover off my AKs after I figured out they had the 74u irons on it. HATE that rear sight. Genuinely makes it easier to use XD

Good to hear. Off memory, I think the SAW has a pretty big component for this that didn't make sense previously. Will try it out.
Good catch bro, this is surprising, I got some guns to rebuild.

I did wonder why all the more expensive upgrades seemed to lower the stat

Seems like it was mistakenly named Stability instead of Recoil

secret bump >_>

I just figured this out myself since I just COULD NOT figure out why seemingly better stocks were REDUCING my stability. I then removed the stock on my gun completely and it increased my stability. It then dawned on me what was going on. They really need to change this it is an asinine way to do the stability stat

Sounds like a bug, good find.
