Any tips for the 'Friends in hostile places' quest please.......

.......I'm starting to lose the will to live. Managed to get 2 drone components then promptly died and failed to get back to my corpse lol Any area/spawn location preferences?

Even if you get to your corpse, loot is lost anyway.

Drone parts are fairly easily farmable on Scorch and Mech, the former moreso than the latter, but both provide plenty of opportunities. On Scorch, there are drones literally all over the place, so all you really need to do is follow them around until they inevitably get shot down. On Mech, if you follow the quick water route, there is very often a battle involving drones in the trench just outside of the extraction point - just hang out in the shadows and wait for one to go down.

Worked like a champ thanks again. Mech trenches are definitely the way to go for this mission!

Yeah sometimes, you just get bad luck. When I had this mission I had 6+ runs on multiple maps of them just not spawning, or only having like 1 go down amidst the most hellish battle.

I had multiple runs of them not spawning. Then one lucky run I shot down 3 just outside of extract, but none of them had a component on them. They were European, not Eurasian.

Hey man, you don't need to get all 3 in one run. You can get 1 and leave, and then others in different runs etc. Feels like you might be making it harder then it is.

Any items you've picked up before you take a mission don't count toward the new fetch. So, if you get the mission, collect 2 units, then cancel the mission or do the tutorial zone, you'll have to retake the fetch quest again and it'll start over your counter.

i did mine in the red battlefield map... it allways has drones just had to get lucky 3 times while looting the place.

Actually, not so hard on Scorched. Mech Trenches is a mess to complete this on.
