Unable to connect - Login timed out

I bought this game today. Clean install. Booted up, hit with "Unable to connect login timed out"
I can do nothing else, other than adjust settings.

What is going on? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Are you trying to import game files at the beginning?

No. I'm literally just trying to start playing the game. It won't let me connect to the servers, even to play the tutorial. After I quit out, it refuses to fully quit out and I have to restart my computer to fully close out the game.

Ok maybe you got a bug, if its a bug I cannot help you.
BUUUTT if its not a bug I can help you.

So the first time I tried to login it asked me if I want to sync my save game since it supports cross play. You have to decline since trying to load a save game from your account that has never played the game will fail with a confusing error message.

This was at least for me the case, good luck there.

Unfortunately, I don't even get that. I load in to the title screen, hit a button to go beyond, then get hit with the time out on trying to connect to the servers. It's entirely too frustrating

I've got the same damn problem. :( Luckily there's still the option to play offline but idk. Maybe it was this newest update.

Have you tried launching the program as an administrator? That seemed to kick it in to gear for me

Glad to hear that worked for you! I’m actually running it on a steam deck, and I don’t think we have the option to run games as administrator on linux unfortunately ☹️

If you don't get a firewall prompt (that you should allow) then it can't connect to the interwebs

cant log in either
just installed the game and verfified and shut of the whole pc and launched it n steam again.

verified the game again and no issues w this but still same cant log in?

so what is happening with this game?
I feel a refund is comming closer n closer now(everu time i try it takes another 5-10min into the 2hours i have)

So time is ticking down way to fast with this crap log in error issue?
