The Forever Winter

The Forever Winter

save data issue, please help
i purchased this game when it came out, immediately linked my epic account when prompted, played for many hours. the next morning i decided to install this game onto my laptop. i boot the game, i login to very same account i was using the night before but this time it wants me to initiate the "training" instead of giving me access to The Innards. as you can already guess, my game is not the same game as one i was playing on my desktop the night before. im nervous that i some how messed up the data and quick logged back into my desktop's data and everything is still there. i log back into my latop's data, everything is new like when i left it. all characters level one, nothing started but the water death countdown...

w.t.f. ?can someone please explain to me what is happening? is this common knowledge because im not seeing this anywhere else and no one is helping me including customer service. (ill update this discussion if they actually email me back)

You can find your saved files on your local pc at :C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ForeverWinter

Bumping this - same issue, progress not carried over when installing the game on another computer, Epic account linked on both computers. I take it that there is no cloud sync then and the save data / progress is stored locally?

So Epic linked doesn't help either... Good to know.
I guess we need to transfer our saves to the other PC...

So I wanted to test my 2nd pc back up build and installed forever winter. I was just curious how this 2080ti gpu was going to handle this game on my back pc compared to my 3080ti build. Then I went back to my first main pc the 3080ti build and my forever winter saved game file gone. So what do I do. Do I go back to my back up pc copy the local saved game files on a USB and reload it on to my main 3080 ti pc?

2) FIND YOUR GAME/FILE/DOWNLOAD

3) IT's GOING TO LOOK LIKE THIS %WinAppDataLocal%ForeverWinter_Saved_SaveGames_(blah blahNUMBER NUMBER NUMBER blahblah bla).knowngood
