Hunter-killer trigger list (incomplete, my own testing)

Duplicating my post from discord here:

• If you open same container multiple times in a row, you get hunter-killers on 12th opening (if you've done nothing else in the run). Don't know if there is any 'attention decay' mechanic, but as a rule of thumb, expect that you can safely open only 11 inventories per run (assuming you don't take any hard triggers like neurolinks). https://imgur.com/a/J2DsKrE shows them tirggering on container opening (I've tested it more later to get exact number)
  
• You get hunter-killers on 3rd water pickup. Doesn't matter how many water you have on you - you can juggle same barrel to trigger them. https://imgur.com/a/ZEHIXoS shows HK triggering on 3rd pickup of water (loadscreen to show that nothing else was done in the run)
  
• There are few hard triggers for HK, like weapon tech from scorched enclave or neurolinks from ashen mesa. As a rule of thumb, expect any quest item to immediately spawn HK (sometimes without text on the bottom of the screen).
  
• Killing many enemies also seems to trigger HK, but haven't done any significant testing on it.
  
• LIST IS NOT EXTENSIVE. There certainly more triggers, but these are the ones I've more or less reliably confirmed myself.

I have a couple theories:

You should see if playing the same map over and over again eventually triggers them automatically. Also, if surviving too many raids in a row triggers them automatically. I've seen people complain about HK spawning as soon as they spawn and I'm wondering if one or the other, if not both, of the above scenarios triggers them.
