What does weapon tech do?

I haven't seen a use yet, and I have fully upraded my innards. It's quite likely a future mechanic, since its not addressed as trade scrap.

are you keeping yours or selling atm? I have whole bunch but its the only thing that has triggered HKs for me so idk its value in the game.

i guess my next question would be are you saving anything or just selling it all?

In my experience they are good to sell and give a really big rep + to the faction you sell it too. In terms of missions they won't count towards any mission prior to picking them up. Items only count after taking the mission/s
