The Forever Installation? [FIXED< WORKING SOLUTION]

Yep, DL'd the game, it patched, now it's "installing" 148mb of 86GB and has been for 40 minutes, now.

The Solution:
Manually download, install, update, and log into Epic Games Launcher from here;
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/

Then restart Steam, and the game will succeed in it's verification process.

also, it's $20 cheaper on teh Epic Store, so if you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Steam, you 'could' refund it here and rebuy it there....

it's mostly just a steam problem. Usually happens because steam needs to repack the game files

I have same issue, any ideas what to do?

Nothing. I just opened the game folder.
It has an Epic Games Installer? OK.

My suspicion is that it's because I don't have Epic installed and the "epic Installer" is hanging. So let me install that manually real quick.,,, wait a minute, drop the "quick" this is Epic we're talking here. see you in an hour.

Yeah the Epic Installer failed twice, even in Admin mode.
My internet is slow... so very slow.... So what I'm doing now is manually installing Epic from this link:
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/
will log in etc and try again, see if that works.

Happening to me after ever crash, which is whenever I try elephant level.
I have the epic launcher as well. It is still doing it.

yeah OK turns out he game is $20 cheaper on Epic as well.

If I keep having issues Steam is gonna get a refund

Yes, that fixed it for me, i mean now steam download whole game again.

I freed up 100 GB on my SSD and it's slowly installing now.

Can some one explain how you guys fixed it? in detail please. i have epic games installed on my pc but the game still stuck on installing.
