Game is not dead. It is dead dead.
Only 500 players in the first month? That’s terrible. Think twice before buying. For the developers and the company, it’s a bad decision to keep investing in a game that’s not making money after launch. There are indie pixel games made by a single person, six years old, with more active players than this – and this game has a 30-person team trying to stay afloat. Those are really poor numbers. Most companies would take the money and abandon ship. Hopefully, they won’t make empty promises and drag out tiny updates for two years before disappearing. But with no updates since launch, it doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Maybe it's dead or dying, maybe its not. Alot of people comment that they are waiting to buy, based on gripes they have with things like the Water System or bugginess or lack of content. Others have bought the game and have quit to wait for updates, bug fixes, new content, etc. Future updates may trigger a mass return of players, but then again maybe it won't. We'll see.
Ok. Nobody cares how business doing. It's not our problem.

Nobody needs them.

You're very invested in telling people a game you clearly don't enjoy is dead - is this really how you spend your free time?
I wonder if these guys get paid by the post or by the day.

Not only does he not enjoy it, he doesn't even own it, just like several others around here who do the same thing. There's definitely a pattern emerging.

There's this thing called early access, where people will happily buy into a game that isn't done to get heir hands on it and see what it's like, knowing full well (well, some of them know full well) that the game isn't finished. So they play for a little while and then put it down, knowing there is still much work to be done. They will then come back at a later date and check on it again. Maybe this time it hold their attention more. Maybe not. Point is, making your point right after an early access launch is really, really dumb.

most players will have seen all the content so far and are waiting on more to drop like myself , ive seen all the game has to offer so far , i like it and happy to see where it goes ... if it dies it dies , as with all games at some point.

First of all take a look at the peak. afaik it was at like 12k, which also isn't that much. if it would have dropped from 120k peak, that would be a whole different thing.

then the game doesn't require an active community. If you know what you're doing, you can
do the whole content solo. Besides that, let's be honest, there's a brunch of bugs and the current content is limited. so there will be some more people like my mate and me, who are waiting right now for the next patch, which will hopefully fix some of the current issues. Already the fix of the silencers included in barrels would open up a brunch of weapons that become much more viable (given you want to play the game like the devs have intended it in stead of playing rambo).

For an early concept 500 ppl is more than enough

A game that was released because the fans wanted to help support the developers, is in Alpha and single player isn't dead. People wait for new updates after playing the content that is here and have helped support by buying the game. Some of you trolls are either trying to hard to rage bait or trying to hoping for something else to happen. Sad life to live when you don't own the game like a few others but constantly criticize like its a finished product you own.

Nah, i dont even hardly play this game with other people, it's perfectly serviceable solo and a low player counter is whatever. If players wanna invest into the idea of this game and like what it already has they should drop the cash. Not spending money on a product because it seems unpopular creates a self fulfilling prophecy where a product receives inadequate funding because the majority came to this conclusion. The amount of indie games ive seen die just because a loud minority screamed "its dead save your money" that could've succeeded if players just took a small risk is insane.
