Just want to note that you can't toggle the light off and on when it is a gun attachment. It is always on if you are aiming with the gun that has it. Can make it annoying in some cases so I suggest only putting the light on one gun.

I'd say the Flashlight attachment is the better of the 2 options, Rig Lights suck.

That being said, Tac Cams help you see in the dark, with additional benefits of Enemy Detection and Loot Detection.

you need a flashlight to loot a lot of objects in dark areas, and it makes looting WAY easier, in general when items are stacked (to aim+loot) but it reflects off fog horribly and makes combat in fog short of hip firing extremely difficult. so hoping they make a way to toggle weapon light on and off in the future.

I believe you can toggle the Rig Light on and off. It takes a slot, but it might be worth it for you.

For light attachment I recommend switching camera views to over shoulder view by hitting Alt.

Does the light attachment on guns also attract NPC aggro like rig light apparently does?

I don't really know I use it sparely. Or when in a last resort when savaging do my AK with light and shotgun combo. If you think it backpack light aggro's enemies then limit the backpack lights use.

Just like tact I think you could turn off and on the light with Item slot. Personally never used Backpack Light!!

But why do you need it? Scanner is infinite and has night vision. Also highlight all loot and quest items, and quest NPCs, and nearby NPC.

does scanner let you loot in shadows and pitch black? cuz thats what i use my weapon light for.

Yes. In total darkness. Even on "Night" Mausoleum where there is fog in addition to darkness.
