It says "residue samples" but what would that look like and in what map?

I saw someone get the rat king on their first Enclave map. I've run it about a dozen times and haven't seen it yet.

From the quest description, it sounds like you have to search whoever the rat king kills for the residue. I'm assuming it's unkillable, but it's possibly not hostile to the player. It has a green nametag which is unusual. And you'll know it when you see it. It'll be very large and throwing a tantrum.

So it's a Europa Medium mech going berzerk? Apart from the green tag when spotting by the player does it look any diffirent physically?

I think it might be its own faction and may be hostile to everything except you (unless provoked). Don't quote me on that, it's just a hunch and I could be completely wrong.

Looks like a large mech with a white human head and what looks like maybe a pointy hat (dunce cap same color as the head). It has tattered cloth hanging off the back as if it's a cape, but shorter. It was a little difficult to make out watching it on a stream and it being obscured by smoke and fire much of the time.

I have seen the rat king go down (The game saids that a europan medium mech had fallen but I was trailing it so I knew for certain it was rat king that had died) but it doesn't drop residue when it dies. You have to check the bodies of those killed by the Rat King for the residue, residue drops are smaller than the supplies pack that drop when bodies despawn and its called rat king debris when you hover your crosshair over it

Just saw him for the first time, had to have the "eliminate the Euruskan commander" quest active. He got blocked/killed by Toothy so the amount of essence was only 2

Yeesh the game expects me to collect 25 pieces when the spawn rate for him to show up is so low
