why does my friend always get more experience than me?

Most of the time I have more kills and such. Yet he still gets 50% more experience than me?

How come?

I think all damage and looting gives experience, so he may have more hits and/or looted more. Or he looted items of higher value or something. Not sure, hard to say.

I noticed that extracting with more loot or more valuable loot gives you more xp. LOOT ALL before extract = more xp

Are they hosting the game or are you? I haven't played co-op at all so just guessing at what could be the cause here.

More loot/more valuable loot= more exp. Kills are second to scavenging (Because it is a scavenging game.)

Not the case at all. We just ran and died at the start and somehow he got like 500 exp while I got 50. He died before me as well

Maybe he went in with more expensive weapons and more ammo/healing items ? (assuming these also count for the loot value)

Kills are not as good as looting. Do both. Yes, that means your tiny backpack is garbage.

My friend has the same backpack. Just now I got 900exp with full backpack and he got 4000.

More loots = more exp, you could try that once your backpack full, drop all the loots you have, and try loot more from enemy bodies.

same thing happens to me everytime i play w my friend. incredibly frustrating . he ALWAYS gets 2-10x my xp no matter what the circumstance. pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fed up w this game honestly.

Full =/= valuable... I can fill my backup with trash loot, doesn't mean that loot is worth anything.

Some sucker loot all (like me) other more meticulous folk loot every item and skim the least valuable, until they've touched as much as possible accumulating far more xp per raid.

It's not simultaneously possible to "always" get worse results, but also not be doing a worse job. You can presume the system is consistent, so you must be able to succeed with different behavior. Critical thinking exists.

The assessment gets worse when you realize you're looting stuff the successful people didn't want.
