Stakes/pressure you can opt out of, aren't stakes/pressure at all.
I mean this in the nicest way, but maybe just play one of the hundreds of other similar games out there; instead of trying to change this one?
As for the rest of y'all complaining about people giving their feedback, we all paid for the game too, and are just as entitled to our opinions and providing feedback for features we don't like.
10k positive and 3k negative reviews is not half but anyway you’re also entitled to do some research before you buy games, or maybe play the free demo ..not buy it no likey something and then shoot the dev with a negative review, then expect them to change it because a few people threw their toys out the pram.
it's in your memory, find the data for water, and change it, shouldn't be to hard to do.
Oh and then stick a middle finger up at the devs for making such a garbage system.
also to all of you defending the water system as is. please PLEASE move out of your moms basement many of us can not commit to a game 100% all the time, and being punished for that is sick.
The biggest issue for me is, that water is meaningless while actively playing, since it's very easy to build up a water storage, but kinda punishing once you stop playing for a longer time , since it wipes a good chunk of your progress.
With that being said, they have already added a last stand fight, that gives you a chance of protecting your stuff and they are working on a complete overhaul of the water system.
Nearly half the player base dislikes the water system if you go scroll through a lot of those positive reviews, especially the earlier ones. Many of them make mention of the trash water system in a negative light. I don't have a developer key to pull 14k comments to filter and make a giant spreadsheet on the topic, but maybe I need to look into that so people can view actual objective data.
Also, this is an early access game and FunDog asked players to provide feedback in their Discord and elsewhere. We've provided our feedback in our reviews. Many of us during the closed Beta told them the timer was terrible. If the devs don't want to disable real time decay, they can continue getting negative reviews because people are going to express things they dislike about games they've spent money on. Leaving negative reviews is the only way to get these developers attention when the community at large doesn't like something, and not even that is a guarantee. I don't know why people are trying to white knight some faceless company or try to tell people what they can like and dislike.
I just can't get behind a game that has no respect for your time or real life commitments. Hope it hits the mark for those who don't mind such things.
Something like Raid Shadow Legends disrespects your time. Staggers your ability to progress and offers to sell you the solution for missing a day. Has book system that lands random on ever increasing skill tree, a cost re gear.
Everything is a spit in the face, and it is objectively predatory.
This is just a soft stickiness mechanic, that you can take it or leave while still enjoying the game just as much as anyone else, regardless of how much money or more time they have to funnel into it. Doesn't seem that disrespectful.
TFW may be fun in a year or so, but tarkov just hits every beat I was looking for in this game.
