There's two warring factions, and you're stuck in the middle of them as a bunch of random scavengers.
I've never been a fan of PvPvE. Fighting AI controlled monsters that can kill me with one wrong move? That's one thing. But fighting AI controlled monsters AND players who may or may not have either a ping advantage, hack, exploit, or just plain better weapons? Too much stress for me to call the game "fun".
I'm not gonna be jumping on any hype bandwagons yet, but Forever Winter looks cool, and I really like Mad God, and games that make me feel like a rat trying to survive (without the human players making me feel like a blind rat). Whether I get the game or not depends on how optimised it is by the time it comes out.
And maybe this, too.
