Which is this more like?
Is this more like The Suicide of Rachel Foster or What Remains of Edith Finch? I like the more creepy, unsettling atmosphere as in the SoRF

I have not played those games, so I don't know. But I played today and the game is really great! :-) I suggest playing and finding out!
Is it great like haha funny and lighthearted story sorta creepy or is it dark, unsettling, disturbing creepy this-place-is-cursed someone is possessed vibe 💀

There's definitely a dark presence haunting the house and it's a spooky game, but our goal was to focus more on an emotional family story. There are a few jump scares, but not too many. SORF is still on my list to play, so I can't really compare it too much, but my guess is it's probably a little closer to SORF than Edith Finch.

I'll add that Gone Home and What Remains of Edith Finch were two of our key inspirations for this game, and hopefully that helps!

IMO, i found The Haunting of Joni Evers to be more lighthearted. I would say it's closer to What Remains of Edith Finch than SoRF, however, Joni Evers has it's own charm and is definitely worth the play regardless of which way you typically lean!

The good news is that no one is forcing you to buy it

Well not really helpful answer along with dev, I'm not into horror games, guess I will play it on youtube instead and find out lol. I prefer someone else is chased by lurking entity, not me :D

I don't play horror games either and I'm finding this one completely chill, even the paranormal stuff are cute little messages that pop up, 0% scary :) At least so far
