Megapicker wont switch the stream in discord to the loaded game. Then why have the Megapicker?

Is there any chance of fixing the launcher so if you are streaming the launcher through discord and some friends pick a game and you launch that game that it can switch the stream over to the game that is chosen? Why else would I want a launcher as it would be easier not to use the launcher pick the game we want to play and then stream the game on discord. Thanks

You can either change the game/window you are streaming or you stream the monitor that way the entire monitor is captured instead of just the picker.

Thanks I have tried and so have others the only thing that works is to close the mega picker then switch to the game that is running. In that case why then even have the mega picker. as this is an extra step. Thanks.

The point of this launcher was to skip the hassle of opening different party packs NOT to make screen sharing on a separate platform different, it also clearly doesn't state any of your problems on the store page.

I have the exact same problem. It defaults to the loader and you cant switch. It's actually more of a hassle using the loader than not using it.

[Disclaimer: I'm an IT guy, but not a streamer, so this is mostly my gut feelings and general "How programs tend to work" experience, not specific knowledge.] I've just been testing my setup to host a future stream for our board game group, and I agree that it would be a nice functionality, but it may be an issue on the Discord (or other streaming program) side, rather than the Megapicker itself. If you tell the streaming program "Stream this window/app" -- that being Megapicker -- that's all they're going to stream, and if Megapicker opens the game in another window, the stream won't know about it. Having Megapicker open the Jackbox game within the Megapicker program may not be technically feasible. I think I'm going to have the best effect by streaming my screen, with Megapicker maximized and my Taskbar auto-hidden. Some of the Jackbox games seem to launch in fullscreen, while others launch windowed and I'll need to manually maximize them, unless I can find a setting, but that way people can stay in one stream. Other hosts, who've simply opened one or another party pack, have had to drop the stream and start a new one when switching packs.

The one thing I'd like is if the Megapicker could be set to NOT display my Steam account name in the top bar; it's a minor security quibble, as I don't expect any of my friends to try to hack my Steam account, but it could be a bigger concern for others.

Why bother to show when anyone is in the Megapicker? If one's social profiles show that he/she is in Steam that's good enough until an actual game is opened. Is there any way to disable or have an option to disable displaying that I'm in Megapicker. Nobody really cares. It's the games that should be captured and used as my status. At least that's my preference.
