Some ideas...
Hi there, I played the game for a day now and I like it, but I think the UI is not very uniform and accessible atm. As I understood, we're early in develeopment and a lot will change, so I'll put some ideas here and maybe there are some in there, which fits the vision of the developer.

  • rework the ship list, maybe make the window movable, so it can stay open or as a sidepanel like Stellaris Fleet Manager, group fleets like a file manager, so you can expand/retract them (you already have it but with checks...maybe less checks, more dynamic interaction?)
  • maybe a tab in ship list/sidepanel to only see trade routes - atm you have to open the ship list, jump to the ship, navigate to routes etc to edit them, too many steps and you can't have multiple windows open, and you're away from the world map or whatever you were doing before
  • global price list for selling and buying, I can only save one or the other, when I change it for one item it's at default price (switchable for trade route/port/item? - maybe with that office idea later?)
  • you have a star for bonuses for an item in a port/trade route - how about one when an industry exists, they're not only producing the bonus items - or triangle up for surplus production und triangle down for a shortage (or + and -; the info from the local warehouses as an icon)
  • maybe an office (one for all) or per port for some of the price-list features, so it's balanced beginner has something to do, but lategame isn't so tedious? Incl. a captain trait, which replaces it for his fleet? Surely there must be a balance...
  • same price helper for warehouses as for routes, maybe use the global price list aswell, I have now open ship trade to get the defaut prices to edit them in warehouses
  • option to copy the amount/limit for buying/selling-orders to all in that route or to all routes (for example bricks are filling my ships, I have to go to every stop to limit it)
  • what does the ship upgrades do, there are no discriptions?
  • list of the stats of my ship (I can see them in a pirate attack, but not somewhere else - how do I know which upgrade I'm missing without checking it on every port?)
  • option, that automatic routes autoupgrade (when upgrade on route), maybe filter what and a limit on global money, for example checked only cargo update, when I have more then 20k gold
  • better stats, what are my routes earning/costing, what are my businesses earning/costing
