I'm torn on whether or not to recommend this. On the one hand, if you need your Vampire Survivors fix and you're broke, this is only $3.00. On the other, there's not a ton here, and what is here could use a bit more time in the oven.

You have very little variety in how your summons work, some are ranged, some are melee, some can only hit one target at a time, some can hit up to 3. Regardless of the tier of summons you're on, they all basically function the same. There's no real strategic choice to be made here, just rush to the highest tier as fast as possible and upgrade those. Maps are all basically the same, there are like 2-3 music tracks that play, and that's about it, only a small handful of enemies to face- all of which work basically the same. It's a very, very small game.

As for flaws and issues:

Summons can die, but 2-star and above are seemingly immortal unless you go out of your way to make your enemies strong enough or numerous enough to kill them, since the game apparently doesn't naturally increase in difficulty as time ticks on. Summons can be upgraded with crystals that you gain from playing maps as part of some meta progression, but the upgrades are too small to be worth the crystals spent on them, and only affect damage instead of being a general upgrade to their stats. Of course, the higher tiers of monsters are orders of magnitude better from the jump, so we come right back around to just rushing the high tiers and upgrading them with gold in-game. Crystals have no other use.

The player character is exceptionally slow. Leveling up only provides the most scant speed upgrade (0.2 move speed per level). Normally, that wouldn't be so bad, except you have no other defensive options. No rolls or dashes, no shields, no short range melee attack to push enemies away, nothing. You have only your monsters, and it's often the case that if they get overwhelmed (which can happen sometimes, if you get dealt a bad hand by RNG), you'll end up being pinned down and killed in short order.

Several of the artifacts take too long to pay off to be worth picking. Excavating Shards and Strange Seedlings, especially, can take up to 3-4 minutes to proc once. It isn't clear whether the buff given by Ripe Fruit is permanent or temporary. Other artifacts like the Piggy Bank and Loan Shark actively hinder you (since gold gain is tied entirely to artifacts because the game doesn't ramp up gold gain or difficulty naturally) by periodically taking gold away from you. "Oh, but Nick!" you say, "Loan Shark gives you 1500 gold and you're just paying it back over time." And you're right, but upgrades, including your level ups, get expensive fast, and unless you get it super early you're going to blow through it in seconds just buying a couple of monsters. And once that happens, you'll spend the next 5-ish minutes hoping and praying you can make at least 150 gold every 30 seconds to pay off your loan, or it'll sell off your summons- the ones you used the initial 1500 to buy- to make up the difference. It is more of a burden than a help.

I could go on, but I'm not going to. If none of what I've said bothers you, and you want something cheap to help you scratch that VS itch, give it a shot. You won't be put out much by the purchase, certainly. But, if you're looking for something with content, that doesn't feel slapped together, this isn't it.
