Train puzzle not appearing? (potential spoilers)

Hi all. So I've completed the first part of the gsme. I've played up to the part where the demon attacks you after the 'digging for treasure' tape, and the game has gone back to the main menu.

I chose "continue" option.

Re-did the code to unlock the cabinet and obtain the first tape.

Now, from what I've read & seen online, you're supposed to re-watch this tape and pause the game at the part where she asks about turning on the light or opening the curtains, and the train puzzle is supposed to spawn in behind you.

Unfortunately this isn't happening for me and I'm not sure why? I've attempted multiple pauses around this moment, but no train puzzle. It's been mentioned online that you're supposed to hear a train whistle around this point (and that's when you're supposed to pause) but there is no train sounds.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may not be working? Are there any other prerequisites that need to be completed to activate this puzzle? As I'm certain I've done everything else, (including obtaining the orange lore tape) 🥺

Unfortunately I'm completely stuck at this point until I work this out.

It's really weird, hey! Have noticed the end of the tape has changed (Wooly appearance) but nothing else seems to happen 🤔

Keen to keep playing if we can get around this spot somehow!

I had to start over from the beginning of the game to get stuff to work.

Thanks, but that wasn't it. Game apparently bugged out.

Followed the previous poster's lead and painfully started over. Sure enough the issue didn't occur the second time around. The train whistle sounded at the spot that it was supposed to and the train puzzle subsequently appeared.

Finished the game this afternoon with all 4 lore tapes 🎉🎉🎉

Hey saw this. im trying to find out how to do the train puzzle. Could anyone help out me? Theres no youtube videos on how to do it from what i see. If someone could help me i would be so happy! Thank you.

Glad it worked out for you! I had this issue too, but instead of the train puzzle eventually loading, I was given the piggybank puzzle instead.

Shouldn't you type "amanda" or "you" at the beginning when she ask "who you want to visit" for the train to appear [and turn the lamp "On" later]?
