Community Patch or Continuation?

Hi all, love Star Ruler 2 and I was just wondering if there is a community continuing the game? Or a continued/extended version to play on?

I noticed it's been many years since even the Open Sourced Version was updated too.

Would love to be pointed in the right direction (:

The closest thing left to a community (or community patch, for that matter) is going to be OpenSR: https://discord.gg/sUJKJDc

It's mostly on life support, if even. I used to organize regular games, but it's been a couple of years since my network setup was halfway compatible with SR2. :(
