No limits coaster maker is literally easier than this. I'm flustered trying to make a simple coaster. Maybe the final game will be better but right now I'm really disappointed, I had high hopes for this.
The average Joe isn't likely going to be able to figure out this complex nonsense coaster editor.
I played it for an hour (which should be more than enough to make a straight track) and then refunded it while with no limits I learned to make a basic coaster within 30mins or so
This has (had) the potential to be very easy to use even though it's 3d, but whoever thought of the controls should be fired. I mean you can't even select track segments and apply attributes to it like MAKING IT STRAIGHT! This game is out in a month so I have no clue why they would leave features like that out of a beta when it's so close to release. (If they even will have features like that in the final one).
I do appearciate the drag-click to create tracks and paths, but we also need to be able to use the Shift key during the placement to lock to the ordinal directions and keep things square.
Please tell us that the controls are being improved.
I.E. a button to bend track, make it straight, bank it, raise, lower, etc. You can still have the "no limits" style of creation but it would be SO MUCH easier + average user-friendly. I'm an advanced PC user and this is even confusing and frustrating me.
By the way... don't even bother with this game if you don't have a scroll mouse. -_-
Maybe you are far less than average then as I had no problems building coasters, straight track etc...
I agree, this game is impressive so far. Hopefully the sim portion of it is just as good.
