Cos otherwise speed is no help in combat at all past the first turn...
But yeah, speed only affecting turn order is a bit silly.
Realizing that it literally only exists for synergy, and the attribute itself only decides who goes first (When the fights you're building around have 50+ turns!?)... That was sort of the moment I started to realize this game isn't actually as brilliant as I thought it was.
The broad structure of this game is genius, but most of the content is really poorly designed. I've talked about it elsewhere, but I'm praying they do the smart thing and keep the gameplay loop, but completely throw out all the bosses and items and start over.
