Strange start up failure.
I just recieved SuperPower 2 from a friend. Both of us are recieving the same thing. When we start the game, the game opens and closes in less than a second. What is this? Is anyone else getting this?

Please backup, older versions of SP2, delete the older files completly off the your computer and restart.

Once you restart, install the steam version of SP2.

It works on my computer fine, I have Windows 7, 64bit up to date with everything fixed, can you give the developers more info on what is actually wrong, I also have 8GB of RAM, I have a dual core processor and its working. I also have an AMD graphics card. What I think it is your security software is blocking the joshua.exe file from launching as its detected it as a virus which is a common issue in SuperPower 2, you have to unblock it.

I guess something doesnt work with the auto detection of video settings. Can you run the video config tool and set it to a resolution that your system definately supports. Also background programs can cause issues.

We're on it, looks like a small compatibility issue with the video player we hadn't caught. We'll have a fix for it shortly.

Ok, it looks like it's a little weirder than what I thought. It seems that the exec can't connect to the file called "client.dll" that should be present in your "MODS/SP2" folder. This is a straight connect as it could be, normally works for everyone all the time ever. But for some reason, Windows doesn't allow it. It could be because you don't have these files installed (which would mean a failed install from steam), or that the file is downloaded but corrupted (same problem), or that you don't have permission to connect to the file (shoudln't), or that Windows is broken (shouldn't as well). So it might take a minute or 2 more to pinpoint what is going on and fix it, but we will. Thanks for your patience.

We'd like a volunteer that experiences this to help us fix this issue, we'll closely work with you today by email. Please contact us at info@golemlabs.com. Thanks!
