Superpower 2 is a realistic geopolitical simulator
Whoever says this (or agrees with this statement) is full of stupid.

It doesn't matter what ♥♥♥♥ing "~REALISM~" mod you install.

I wished I screenshot the lobby with people who said that the game was a good simulation of modern geopolitics, but sadly I exited the session too fast as it made my blood boil. Denmark invading Morocco is not realistic, Italy invading Vietnam is not realistic, what kind of skewed mind would think that this game accurately simulates realistic geopolitics? It just blows my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind that these people exist.

And the multiplayer community is toxic, it really is. It seems "RP" means nothing to most hosts anymore, or players.

Considering you said it, does that mean you are full of stupid?

Very clever.

It's based on data from 2001, which is the year you start the game.
Though I will agree with you OP, sometimes...the...absurdity of the situations that can happen make no sense at all!

Yes but that is what makes the game fun. Who the hell wants a happy love-fest the whole game?

You know what else sucks about SP2 multiplayer? That one guy in your server that has a 100% customized army trained to level 3.

Literally a meatgrinder army that NO ONE can beat unless you nuke them to oblivion.

Hell, even then they'll still probably have a few hundred level 3 aircrafts that will at least kill half of your entire army before being destroyed.

Then be that guy who builds an elite army of level 10 military techs.

It is your fault for building ♥♥♥♥♥♥ level 1 units. However I agree that higher tech should not shatter your army easily as it does.

Unless theres an army that uses sticks and stones VS a giant mech army with laser and plasma weapons.

No my intent of keeping my current standing army is a form of keeping the realism going, if I didn't do that intentionally, I would simply pull any cheap tactic and go full ham because I've played this game for several years.

Please understand that a nations standing army does not transform itself into hundreds of metal gears and alien spaceships in 20 years.

I'm arguing for the sake of keeping a realistic geopolitical match continuing without descending into a pile of rubbish where, as you said, entire armies are shattered within days.

Most players I've played with during the past days either didn't know, or weren't trying to, create meatgrinder armies, I even tried to warn them before declaring a war against a player who had that fully customized army level'd to 3.

There's no skill involved, you just have to know where "create blueprint" and "train" button is, you're a fool if you think it is.

While we're at it, anyone who believes a personal income tax of 80% is feasible in the long run without massive riots shouldn't be playing democracies. I liked the servers that forbid going above 60% PIT as democracies.

The RP you want is stupidly boring after 5 years.

I see, you prefer constant war + warmongering?

You guys are the reason so many quit multiplayer sessions.
