What does the GTM do?
What is the Global Tax Modifier?I heard from some people that it can really hurt your countries' economy.

I basically ran a game using Russia and after setting the GTM to 31%,I managed to hit a 2.5 trillion Income.

So what is the "disadvantage" of it?

Its an additional tax on your resources. Granted you can good quick funds in easy time. But no body likes paying taxes. I rarely experiment with it so I don't know its full powers.

I think it adds a tax to countries trading with you. If you are a massive trade partner, you can wreck other countries' economies with that tax. I'm not 100% sure, but thats what I think it does.

I think I know what it is now. Its like a sales tax. Lets say a bussiness transaction occures. If GTM is set s 5%. 5% of each dollar will be taxed. (Eg, 25% GTM = 25 Dollars of tax if a sale is $100.) We have this in Canada. Its currently 5%.
