GeoTwam Mod (Version 1.2.2) (15.1.2023)
GeoTwam is based on the mod Geopolitics/Realism2016 by Alexandr Sazanov/Fenix and T.W.A.M. (The World Accuracy Mod) by Slajavck. GeoTwam also requires Human Development Mod by BlasterMillenia to work but it is included in the install.

About GeoTwam:

GeoTwam combines TWAM and Geopolitics mod together. The start year is 2001 like in vanilla. GeoTwam has 171 new countries and historical events that attempt to simulate the time period of 2001 - 2023+. Majority of the new countries do not exist when game is started (such as Scotland, Quebec, Greenland etc.) however, these countries can be created during game or they will create themselves if their owner country falls into civil war.

Thanks to BlasterMillenia's Human Development Mod this mod includes historical scripted AI events. Events included are enlargement of NATO and EU, War on Terror, independence of Montenegro, Arab Spring, Syrian Civil War, Ukrainian Crisis and much more! These events will happen automatically during the gameplay. The way scripted events work is quite simple as it relies on commands so don't be surprised if your country declares war by itself. I tried to limit this as much as possible but currently USA, Donbass separatists and Azerbaijan declare wars. Majority of other events instead use the civil war feature from HDM to work. You can manually change the historical ai events by opening hdm_historical_events.

Some separatist countries that do not have provinces due to Superpower 2 limitations, still have their own army. Kosovo and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have units in their claimed regions. There is also KFOR units in Kosovo, (USA, Turkey, Italy, Germany etc)

GeoTwam was originally meant mostly for multiplayer games, but with scripted events it is also fun to play in single player. Unlike Superpower 2 Vanilla AI that mostly relied on ehe.entities this mod has more scripted approach to past events. GeoTwam includes custom ehe.entities that makes AI countries build more units during the game, if you find the AI buildups too extreme you can alternatively use the vanilla ehe.entities.

Several people have helped to create this mod including Karim, Gotaa, BlasterMillenia and members of Superpower community but currently I am the only developer of this mod. I try to keep the mod up to date as much as possible. Best way to keep up with this mod is to follow the mod-news channel in Superpower Discord but I will also update link here.

How to install:

1. (Optional) Make a backup copy of your vanilla "SP2" folder in \Steam\steamapps\common\SuperPower 2\MODS\SP2 and rename it to something else (for example SP2 Vanilla)

2. Drag and drop files from "SP2" folder in this archive into Steam\steamapps\common\SuperPower 2\MODS\SP2 and allow replacement of files that it asks
Alternatively move the entire folder "SP2" (from this archive) into Steam\steamapps\common\SuperPower 2\MODS and let it replace the files.
Both install methods will have the same effect and your system will ask to replace files.

3. After replacement of files your installation is done and you can start the game.

If you wish to play as separatist country (country without regions) you can manually spawn it by typing "transfer_region X Y 1 1" in Joshua Console
(Instead of X type region id, use shift to see names and IDs of regions)
(Instead of Y type country_id of your separatist country, it is shown next to name of your country.

If you wish to turn off the scripted Historical AI events, rename hdm_historical_events_empty to hdm_historical_events. (Not recommended for the full experience)
Alternatively you can rename the hdm_historical_events_light to hdm_historical_events which has only limited number of events. (Such as NATO expansion)

New Update 15.1.2023

Many relations have been changed, thanks Che for help.
Changed party and language/religion related data in Russia and Israel.
Rio Pact is made into alliance, includes historical events of countries leaving and joining.
Wikipedia used as reference for the events.

Hi, I like this mod but I have some problems with it, like its broken. I'm playing with Armenia and with only 15 years of save I was able to increase per capita GDP to 47k and still increasing, and I can maximize all bars in budget without having a negative balance. I played with the same country with only geopolitics mod a couple of months ago and it took me like 40-50 years to have 20k per capita GDP with same strategies and growth was definitly much more slower but realistic

It's most likely because many economies start much lower in geotwam than vanilla/geopolitics. Many countries in vanilla had gdps that were much higher than in reality so there's also more room for player country to grow. But just because you managed to make gdp higher doesn't mean it will necessarily stay that way. Also the other reason why it's easier is because I turned off new export mechanics. So if you want to fix this just go to MODS/SP2 and open hdm_cfg_server with notepad. Then change 0 on useNewExportMechanics>0< to 1. This way it should be more challenging to grow your gdp.

Thanks, I started a new game with the same country and growth has been more challenging but realistic and fun
