It's most likely because many economies start much lower in geotwam than vanilla/geopolitics. Many countries in vanilla had gdps that were much higher than in reality so there's also more room for player country to grow. But just because you managed to make gdp higher doesn't mean it will necessarily stay that way. Also the other reason why it's easier is because I turned off new export mechanics. So if you want to fix this just go to MODS/SP2 and open hdm_cfg_server with notepad. Then change 0 on useNewExportMechanics>0< to 1. This way it should be more challenging to grow your gdp.
Thanks, I started a new game with the same country and growth has been more challenging but realistic and fun
