What is the best mod for this game so far?

I know, there are already 100 posts about the topic. Sorry for spamming.

I bought SP2 like 2 months ago and I liked it a lot, but I remember dropping the game after reading about some bugs regarding the AI behavior and some broken economic mechanics (I've experienced the autarky bug).

I think this game deserve my attention, so I'm gonna play it again. Since I see that the community is alive here, I wanna ask if you can suggest me a mod which I really should install to drastically improve the gameplay.

Even if I don't like to mess up with vanilla games (mods often make games unstable and above all I cannot know if the download is 100% safe), I'm ready to do an exception for Superpower.

i like uberfox persoanlly sense the eco is harder to manage and the a.i builds and competes with the player, if your looking for a easy mod HDM is the way to go!

USM & HDM is a great change of pace if you've played HDM and UberFox a lot. Just be prepared to screw up your economy in your first runs with the mod, since it handles inflation, taxes, etc, very differently.

If you want to boost difficulty even more, play USM & HDM with a mod like MrMondaysMod that has 2018 economic data (including debts).

Never tried UberFox. Also, HDM doesn't seem to work properly (for what I know).
