Emigration problem
Now, having played lots of Superpower 2 and having many hours of fun, I've came across a glaring issue that is pissing me off. Emigration. Why the hell does my country with 99.9% approval and stability with 0 corruption have an emigration of 1.8%? China has low approval and stability with almost max corruption yet emigration is 0.8% with an immigration of 1%.

Fix this problem.

does it really work? And then there's another problem. Countries like the UK and US lose people over time and become weak. Then other nations rise and become strong, but then they lose lots of people and become weak themselves.

That is actually happening in the real world tho. Developed countries today are dying off while developing countries are growing. Then, in a couple of years, developing countries will also decline, and in probabily 100, if all goes well, demographics will stabilize.
Not a bug but if it bothers you just ban contraception, legalize polygamy and close off emigration borders :P

Fair enough, but the main problem is that countries with low stability and high corruption get positive immigration and near to none emigration, while countries with high stability and low corruption will have more people leaving than immigrating.

What countries though. I mean it does happen in the real world. A lot of Brits and Americans working in the Middle East due to the oil industry. Large numbers move to the tropics in older age...

If this is the *only* issue you are having with SP2, you are lucky.

The devs haven't released any major bug-fix patches, and I seriously doubt they ever will.

So what you're saying is that millions are moving to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ countries to work? The game doesn't simulate it that way. And it happens with any country with bad stability and corruption, they get more people immigrating than emigrating.

Yes, you do get the few thousand who move to countries with nicer weather or the few thousand that move to work, but that doesn't make sense because the country isn't be getting a few thousand retirees or workers, they are getting hundreds of thousands.

Yeah, there are serious issues but this one makes no sense and can be fixed with a simple and easy patch.
I have the same problem is there a solution?

Get MrMonday's mod, they fix it there.

MrMondaysMod doesn't fix the emigration issue. No database mod can fix it.

As I learned recently; there is indeed an error in the vanilla SDK in regards to emigration. In that the country's emigration rate will increase if the stability (and approval?) is high, and lower if the stability(and approval?) is low.

Basically emigration is broken in the vanilla SDK. Use Human Development Mod to fix this bug.
